Travelling in the remoter areas of southern Africa, usually there is limited infrastructure and the only way to reach a destination is by flying there.  Regions of Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia and Zambia a traveller would have to take a charter flight to reach their destitation.  The advantage of travelling to remoter areas is that due to lack of infrastructure these areas are unspoilt and offer an ultimate safari experience.

Southern Africa cannot boast the efficient transport networks of Europ and USA, so unless you planning to fly between destinations or spend a lot of money on road transfers, we recommend that you hire a car.
